Smart Textile

Project Summary

We develop Smart Textile called HEAT-FLEX with our surface modification and coating technology. HEAT-FLEX has 3 different functions.
First of all, when we provide electricity it generate heats. Unlike other heating textile we do not rely on metal wire to provide heat. Therefore, our heating textile is thinner, lighter, flexable and durable.
Next function is sensing. It can detect the resistance level when it stretches, so if we apply on our body it can tell which part of the body is moving. It can also monitor respiration by applying around the chest.
Last of all, HEAT-FLEX can change the color depends on the temperature. As of right now it only change from one color to another but we are putting our effort to change many different colors.

Currently HEAT-FLEX can do 1function at a time. However, our goal is to develop a Smart Textile that can do all functions in one textile.

Business Model

B2B : Provide Mcell's Smart Textile to wearable or fashion(sports wear) company to integrate into their products or Co-develop for the next season's product.

B2C : Mcell develop its own sports leggings called HEAT-S with its partner comapny. Planning to do crowd funding campaign with different types of item.

Exhibit at MWC2017 and singed partnership with Black Yak.
