Development of surgical instrument utilizing elastic rope and radiofrequency for cataract
Project Summary
- propose new anterior capsulotomy in cataract surgery by using 'elastic rope' and 'radiofrequency' and develop commercialized cataract surgical instrument, -imass-
- Because there is no standard surgical instrument for anterior capsulotomy, operators have depended on their hand skill until now., -imass- is based on their own patented technology to make capsulotomy of a fixed size quickly and safely by connecting dissection electrode -imass- with radiofrequency generator in each ophthalmologic hospital.

- Revenue Model : Secure revenue by supplying equipments and operative techniques targeting 0.4 million cataract surgeries performed in South Korea and 20 million cataract surgeries performed all over the world each year.
