Business Model
In order to make medicine accessible for everyone. Costs of medical care must drop. Medicine is a very labor intensive industry, using very expensive labor.
If we want to make medicine cheaper we only have two choices: lower the pay of doctors or increase the efficiency of doctors. We think the later choice is the only way to lower medical costs without lowering the quality of care provided to patients. This is where Vuno comes in.
Advances in deep learning has enabled algorithms to perform functions that only doctors have been able to do: such as finding patterns of cancer in X-ray images and making diagnosis. This means that these machine learning algorithms can help doctors make more efficient more accurate diagnosis of medical data.
We are working with major research hospitals in Korea to develop diagnosis assisting solutions. Our first target is medical check-centers where limited number of doctors are struggling to analyze tons of medical images every day.
Our vision is to integrate deep learning into all parts of the medical care pipeline(medical data analysis, medical record taking) to make medical care more efficient and more effective.
