Project
Developing the World's first Messenger based Home IoT Platform - 'Sync Home'

Project Summary
Sync Home is the world’s first messenger-based Home IoT platform. By simply adding, Sync-Home as a friend on the user’s favorite messenger, and a one-time login, the messenger account and the home IoT account can be synced. Through this connection users can access to the Sync-Home platform and control home IoT devices directly from their messengers. Sync Home also can connect local neighbors and business forming a local community on messenger without revealing personal information. Anyone can add ‘Sync-Home’ as a friend on their messenger and can be connected to people who are already friends with Sync-Home. Through this community, small local shops or ordinary people can offer free or paid services/products for the community. Merchants or individuals that offer paid services need follow a simple sign-up process within the messenger in order to be registered in the platform.

The back-bone technology that makes Sync Home possible is a server-based platform called 'Sync Tree'. ‘Sync Tree’ that can easily connect platforms without modifying the legacy system nor exposing any sensitive data from each server. ‘Sync Tree’ communicates with a patented security communication protocol which doesn’t directly access to servers. It connects platforms in a totally different way which allow companies no longer to build APIs for connection. We believe it can eventually replace the API system because it dramatically reduces cost & time for companies than building an API environment for connections. We are now working together with Commax, the No.1 home IoT company in Korea, to make a new Home IoT platform based on this technology called ‘Sync Home’.
